In 2001, after 16 years as a high school and college coach,  I found myself out of any immediate job prospects and temporarily blacklisted for my book exposing corruption at the University of Kentucky and I decided to act on inspiration and establish The Tony Franklin System. Throughout my 16 years, I sat through countless football coaching clinics hoping to learn something that would help me further hone my craft, but kept coming up empty. That’s when I realized that great training doesn’t come from trying to pick up arbitrary “winning” ideas from a slew of different coaches. It comes from learning a system. My new goal: to provide the best offensive coaching advice to high school and college football coaches in the history of football. And so the Tony Franklin System was born. 

 I started doing one-on-one consulting wherever I could, visiting high schools for one day with a presentation and VHS tapes, as well as on-site player improvement and gameday planning and assistance. Over the next 4 years, I began coaching again and simultaneously grew my client base from 9 to about 65 high schools. Fast forward to 2005, and my methods were being featured in USA Today, and the Tony Franklin System started gaining national traction. Now, the TFS is working for football coaches all over the United States, and even some internationally.
